HorseHage Support Alison at Dressage Home International 26th November 2009 Dressage rider and coach, Alison Kenward, was able to feed her horse with confidence at the recent British Dressage Amateur Home International competition held at the Rowallan Equestrian Centre in Scotland.
The Home International was designed to give amateur dressage riders the experience of competing at an international competition, to help develop top-class dressage riders of the future. It provides a great opportunity for riders of all levels to come together and compete. The teams are put together by a national co-ordinator for England, Wales and Scotland, and must consist of one rider at either prelim or novice level, one rider at either elementary or medium, one rider at either advanced medium or PSG, and one final rider at any of the above levels.
Regional HorseHage producer, Fox Feeds, based in Hertfordshire, supported Alison by providing half a pallet of HorseHage dust-free bagged forage for her to use at the competition.
Said Alison: “Our team was self-funding and so we have all worked hard to raise funds to help the riders and horses with their travel and accommodation expenses and so I greatly appreciate this support from HorseHage.”
Alison competed on Rachel Harris’ horse, Langarth Sebastian, and the team were placed 6th overall.
Said Alison: “I felt honoured to be competing on the squad and will always treasure the memories from this event. We were called into 6th place in the team event and I was almost walking on air as we took part in the presentations. Scotland Tay was the deserving winner and it felt right for the home nation to lift the title. As Central are hosts next year, it gave our squad food for thought for the months ahead and I know we will all work together to build on what we have learned about team riding.”
